Do i need software to unlock my 3G iPhone?

No there is no software needed to perform the unlock for the 3G version iPhone. The unlock is as simple as opening your SIM tray, and inserting the unlock SIM on top of your existing SIM.

While on most networks everything works 100% ( incoming/outgoing Calls/ SMS / 3G / youtube / Email / Internet) we found a few networks where the "Locate me" function ( In Maps) does not work. It does work in 90% of the cases, but we cannot guarantee that locate me will work for you. ( All Other functions will work without problems)

Do i need to jailbreak my iPhone?

You dont need to jailbreak your iPhone, this is optional. The SIM will work with both new iPhones and older iPhones that have been software unlocked/jailbroken before.
