"Stars
of the World Wide Web"
Corporate Performance Artists is a successful Marketing Agency
and a respected Internet Research & Development firm. While we
don't ignore traditional marketing tools to influence buying
decisions, we focus on marketing campaigns that places advertising
at the precise point a customer has made a decision to buy. We call
this type of marketing campaign "Customer Initiated Marketing."
The perfect embodiment of this approach is Search Engine
Marketing, where we identify the keyword phrases that indicate a
customer is ready to buy and then optimize marketing content to be
the most likely to be found by customers in their search of the
Internet.
As an R&D firm, we have the capability to not only market
Internet businesses, but to build them as well. Very often we
identify profitable new revenue opportunities for our clients and
help them realize the new business models.
History
Corporate Performance Artists was founded in 2002 by Joseph and Donna
McElroy , who were looking to combine both their creative
artistic practice with there entrepreneurial and technology
activities into a focused business effort.
The Company started by creating sales presentations, CD-roms,
software development and web sites. One of our first clients was
the jewelry company David Yurman. Click here to see the "look book"
presentation we created for them. Other clients that year
included the Nancy Graves Foundation, the Explorer's Club, and the
City of New York.
In 2003-2004, Corporate Performance Artists gained steam as a
marketing and technology company. We earned our chops with a large
project for the SBA, including an ambitious effort, in partnership
with the Bronx Council on the Arts, to assist all the non-profit
art organizations in the Bronx with their technology and online
earned income strategies. We also developed expertise with
event marketing via such efforts as the South Bronx
Networking Party.
Even prior to our founding, the McElroy's had extensive
experience marketing online. They were co-founders of a dot-com
enterprise called Everyday Office that they staffed and funded
(over $2 million) entirely through their web based efforts. Not
only that, they acheived international recognition for
their art
work purely through online promotional activities (and of course the high quality
of their work). So it is no surpise that in 2005 , Corporate Performance Artists began
actively selling online marketing capabilities such as Search
Engine Optimization.
One of our first clients for Search Engine Marketing was the
Manhattan
Institute. Recently, Ed Schwarts, the founder of the Manhattan
Institute, called Joseph "the smartest man in the world," giving an
indication of how well we have performed.
The year 2005 was also when we started advanced email marketing
campaigns, sending out media rich emals to attract attention and to
track results. Part of our internal mantra is that we can "do
everything creative for busienss, but we MUST measure everything
for success." For one of the largest beverage distributors in the
nation, we did this multi-media
invitation sent out to all its employees, vendors, and
customers.
In 2006, we stepped up our game even further. We achieved great
results for Private Investigators Sherlock Investigations who now
rank #1 on google for "new york private investigators." Skipp
Porteous gives us a wonderful testimonial. We also
created effective marketing campaigns for a large contractor,
Pier Head Associates, an ecommerce campaing for
hip-hop clothing retailer JokerBrand, and a culturally
significant online presence for the foundation of the late singer
Nina Simone.
2006 also is the year we started utilizing our skills as a
company to help found joint ventures with our clients. In August of
2006, we were developing the online marketing campaign for American Indian Sourcing when we discovered
through our research the great need for Internet based media
communications between American Indian communities. We then helped
found the new enterprise American Indian TV
which is now getting large outlet media attention and
bringing great opportunities to our client.
Now, 2007 is shaping up to be a great year. Not only are our new
clients Jason Mills, Lipsig Law, NYC Luxury Listings, and the Long
Island Alzheimer's Foundation looking forward to banner success,
but we have also launched or about to launch new joint ventures.
These include NYC Open House Listings and
Used Car Rebate, both business models we discovered
during our keyword research.
So we can say with confidence, that with expertise in
advertising businesses, inventing advanced technology, and creating
beautiful artwork, the McElroy's have developed Corporate
Performance Artists into a highly effective Marketing Force you can
trust to deliver on your marketing needs.
Our Principles
Before we conclude this about us section, we need to mention
that because of our founders principled approach to business, we
consider ourselves a socially concious enterprise. This means we
follow the below practices in our business:
- No lies, no exaggerations, no hiding a hurtful truth.
- A business deal has no wheels on it, everybody carries the load
so everybody must profit
- Share the wealth for good financial health
- Social responsibility is profitability
- All customers are equal and deserve the highest level of
service
- Fear is not an appropriate factor in decision making
- Do your homework, do your accounting, do your followup
- Trust yourself, trust your fellows, trust the world
- Keep your sights high, your chin high, and your integrity
high
- The bottom line is profits - financially, ecologically,
socially, and spiritually
- Communication and Creativity can solve any problem
We are an open company. This means that we have an open-book
management style, with all vested employees able to participate
equally in all benefit programs. All corporate information is open
to scrutiny by company constituents, including the corporate books.
We will only undertake projects that we believe in and that are in
line with our company objectives and values. For example, we will
never undertake an adult web site as a client.
Our ideals foster our passion, creativity, and innovation in a
dynamic atmosphere of trust, respect, open communications and
personal growth. We believe this operational style produces the
maximum benefits for all our stakeholders.
Corporate Performance Artists recognizes the value of diversity
in a sustainable economy. Our goal is to keep at least 50% of our
team from minority communities. We believe in an enlightened and
collaborative leadership that enhances and supports the spirits of
all our employee-owners and contractors.
We believe these principles make us a better company and helps
us provide better products and services to our customers.
