introduced in reptiles and removed from the evolution tree by our
simian forefathers, the long-tail has recently made a comeback in the
form of a business concept. It can be used to refer to a few successful
Web 1.0 ventures, including Amazon, Google and eBay. It can also be
used to refer to Web 2.0 ventures, repositioning any business with a
user base of 5 as adequately positioned to crave and dominate a unique
niche in the long-tail of markets.
