Alex Kunz is Director of Construction Services. He is a
mechanical engineer in pursuit of integrated product/process design
through new methods and tools. He has worked in a variety of
production environments, including the design and construction of
airports, computer chip manufacturing facilities and the world’s
largest wind tunnel. Past projects include Heathrow Terminal 5, the
Channel Tunnel Rail Link, and a 500MW power plant in California. He
is a published author of case studies on the AEC industry and has
lectured at Stanford University, the Center for Integrated Facility
Engineering (CIFE), and UC Berkeley on product/process design. Kunz
has been a speaker at the Lean Construction Institute on workflow
management and at AIA/ACADIA on fabrication in architecture. He
holds the Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from
Cornell University.
